The preclinical agreement highlights growing external interest in the combination potential of Oncomatryx’s FAP-targeted ADC, licensed to InxMed for Greater China, Taiwan, South Korea and Southeast Asia
ZAMUDIO (Bizkaia), 27th July 2026 – Oncomatryx’s OMTX705, an antibody-drug conjugate directed against the tumor microenvironment, is among the assets selected by Taiwan-listed HanchorBio for a new combination research programme with InxMed, Oncomatryx’s licensing partner for Greater China, Taiwan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. Under a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by HanchorBio’s subsidiary, FBD Biologics Limited, OMTX705 will be evaluated in combination with HanchorBio’s lead oncology candidate.
The agreement covers preclinical and translational research combining HCB101, HanchorBio’s SIRPα-Fc fusion protein targeting the CD47/SIRPα pathway, with a set of InxMed’s investigational assets, including IN10018/ifebemtinib, a FAK inhibitor in late-stage clinical development, and OMTX705. No licensing economics, upfront payment or clinical trial commitment has been disclosed as part of the MOU.
InxMed has continued to identify new development opportunities for OMTX705 within its licensed territory, of which this collaboration with HanchorBio is the latest example. Oncomatryx retains the molecule’s rights in the rest of the world, including the United States, Europe and Japan.
For Oncomatryx, the collaboration reinforces the strategic value of its licensing relationship with InxMed and underscores the combination potential of targeting the tumor microenvironment alongside complementary mechanisms of action. HCB101 is designed to enhance macrophage-mediated anti-tumor immune activity, while OMTX705 and IN10018/ifebemtinib act on the physical and biological defenses that solid tumors build around themselves, including fibrosis, stromal barriers and immune exclusion. Exploring these mechanisms together reflects a broader industry trend towards combination strategies for difficult-to-treat solid tumors.
About Oncomatryx
Oncomatryx is a Spanish biopharmaceutical company, headquartered in the Basque Country with a global outlook, that pioneered targeting metastatic solid tumors through their microenvironment rather than the tumor epithelial cell. The company has also built a platform designed to generate multiple candidates and advance them through clinical proof of concept for licensing to major pharmaceutical companies, spanning the full cycle of research, clinical development and in-house manufacturing that today defines industry leaders.
Oncomatryx is the only biotech company designated strategic by Spain’s Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and has received in 2025 an EIC Accelerator grant from the European Union, one of five life sciences companies selected out of 950 applicants.
OMTX705 is Oncomatryx’s lead antibody-drug conjugate, directed against fibroblast activation protein (FAP) on cancer-associated fibroblasts within the tumor microenvironment. Currently in clinical development, the molecule was licensed to InxMed (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. for Greater China, Taiwan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, as part of Oncomatryx’s strategy of advancing its pipeline through select regional partnerships while retaining rights in other territories, including the United States, Europe and Japan.
