The company joins the sector’s leading association to share knowledge and build synergies.
DERIO (Bizkaia), 25nd September 2026 – Oncomatryx has joined AseBio, the Spanish Association of Biocompanies, as a member. Founded in 1999, AseBio brings together some 370 companies and organizations from Spain’s biotechnology sector. The association has introduced the new member with an interview with Oncomatryx’s Chief Public Affairs Officer, Pedro Esnaola.
For Oncomatryx, AseBio is above all a community that connects companies, researchers, institutions and professionals across the sector. The company has known the association since its early days and has followed closely its role as a driving force for biotechnology in Spain. Now, as a member, it brings its experience developing ADCs against metastatic solid tumors, built on more than fifteen years of research into the tumor microenvironment.
“Being part of AseBio will allow us to share knowledge, identify synergies and be closer to the innovation and technology that is transforming Spain’s biotech industry today,” said Esnaola.
Esnaola also stressed that the sector’s main challenge, and Oncomatryx’s in particular, is to develop new therapeutic solutions efficiently and in the shortest possible time, given the very high unmet medical need in oncology: “Our goal is to advance the development of our ADCs targeting the tumor microenvironment in an agile and rigorous way, with the aim of offering new alternatives to the patients who need them.”
